How it all started.
We are three brothers that just really like to party. Doesn't matter where we are or who we're with, we just want to have a good time. It was the summer of 1999. Hot as hell and 99% humidity. I mean hot. Vegas in summer hot. Vietnam hot. My brothers and I decided to host a little soiree at our beach house, a dump we were renting on the Jersey Shore, and invite 50 of our closest friends for some barbeque, beer and horseshoes. The next thing I know, we've mapped out a mini-triathlon, scavenger hunt and drinkfest.
The day of the event one of my brothers shows up with this crazy thing he built at the plastics fabrication plant he was working at; under one arm he had a PVC board with three specialized shot glasses that thread into the deck and under the other arm he had another stick but this one had specialized beer glasses. "Check it out! These things are gonna be a hoot" he says.
The party started, the music is playing and we're all having fun. Then my brother walks out to the deck with a bottle of vodka, schnapps and tequila. He grabs the three closest people, asks what their choice of shot is and serves them up. A crowd gathered and people watched and laughed. The stick started making the rounds, shots going down and beer getting chugged. Everybody was laughing, dancing and drinking. EVERYBODY wanted to do the SHOTSTICKTM. People couldn't wait to do the SHOTSTICKTM. We had to do a beer and booze run to the local packaged goods place at 2 AM because we were running out of juice and no one was going home.
We've since modified the SHOTSTICKTM to make them expandable. The largest group we've ever had doing a simultaneous shot is 45 and we've had 27 guys in a beer chugging contest. So now that we've experienced what the SHOTSTICKTM can do for a party, we're committed to sharing that with the rest of the world. After all, there has got to be millions of other people out there that like to have as much fun as we do.
